THE Tanygroes Welfare Committee held its annual general meeting at Emlyn Café.

During the evening, presentations were made to the following charities and organisations: Prostate Cancer Cymru, £1,300; Breast Cancer, £1,300; Wales Air Ambulance, £1,000; Blood Bikes Wales, £500; Cylch Meithrin Penparc, £500; Ceredigion Guide Dogs, £500; Riley’s Wish To Walk, £500; Cardigan Food Bank, £400; TimMia, £300; and Mencap Ceredigion, £200.

The following officers were elected for 2018: Chairperson, Rhian Evans; vice-chairperson, Pauline Evans; secretary, Elin Gill; treasurer, Lyn Evans; press officer, Tony Frost.

Committee members: David Brown, Lois Davies, Winston Davies, Eleri Evans and Gareth Evans.
