Reunion – Class of 1980

A REUNION is being organised for Year 1980 who attended Tregaron Secondary School to be held on Saturday, 7 September, at 6.30pm in Y Talbot, to celebrate their 50th year and to have a good catch up. Clwb Cerdded/Walking Club

THE next walk is scheduled for 9 March and has been organised by Ian Tillotson (01974 831639) and Rob Davies DB (07852 946647). The walk is called ‘Discover Dark Skies’. The area to the east of the Teifi Pools is an internationally recognised Dark Sky Park. It’s the only one in Wales. The walk starts at dusk from Ty’n Cwm and ascends to Teifi Pools and Claerddu bothy. They aim to arrive there as darkness falls, then spend time star gazing (weather permitting). An expert will help interpret what they can see. Return by the same route. Remember your head torch (with spare batteries) and binos or telescope. Extra clothing whilst star gazing advised. The walk is to last approximately four hours and is graded a moderate walk over a distance of 6.4 miles, with an ascent of 300m/1,000ft. Meet outside the Talbot Hotel at 7pm or Ty’n Cwm (GR SN 769655) at 7.30pm. Women’s Institute

THEY meet on the second Wednesday of each month at 7.15pm at the memorial hall. The last meeting was well attended and they were lucky to have Di O’Keefe from West Wales Hedgehog Rescue talk about the plight of hedgehogs and how we can help them - if you need any help with wild hogs in your area, call her on 07527 524300. The next meeting on Wednesday, 13 March at 7pm will be at Y Talbot - St Davids’ celebration Cawl evening with singing group Ffrindiau. They will also be having a social evening on Wednesday, 20 March from 7.30pm to 9pm - a perfect time to come and meet everyone if you thought you might like to join the WI. FORE Sul, 17 Chwefror, croesawyd y gynulleidfa i’r oedfa deuluol gan y Bugail. Derbyniwyd y bocsys arian mân tuag at elusen ‘Gefeillio Toiledau’ a diolchir i bawb am eu caredigrwydd. Ar hyn o bryd mae’r plant yn dilyn stori Joseff yn yr Ysgol Sul a dyma thema’r gwasanaeth. Cafwyd eitem swynol gan y plant yn canu ‘Dwylo ffeind oedd dwylo’ i gyfeiliant Catherine Hughes. Rhoddwyd yr emynau allan gan Anni Grug Lewis Hughes, Dafydd Bennett, Gwilym Jones a Twm James. Darllenwyd gan Ianto James ag Osian Jones ac offrymwyd gweddi gan Mabli Dark. Casglwyd gan Lois Davies a Gethin Bennett a chyfeiliwyd gan Judith Jones. Diolchwyd i bawb a gymrodd ran ac i Judith am gyfeilio am y tro cyntaf gan Gareth Jones.
