Ballroom Dance Club
EVERY Monday evening, 7.30pm until 9.30pm, members of the club meet to dance in the Neuadd Pendre Social Centre and to learn new dances and steps.
Pictured are some of the group embarking on learning the Bossa-Nova, with leaders Jane and Fran.
New members to the club will always be welcome. Drinks and nibbles are available from the licensed bar.
Garden group
A WELL-ATTENDED meeting took place in January with Margaret Smith. Margaret gave an insightful presentation of ‘Flowers and villages of the Indian Himalaya’.
The journey took members along the Mayer valley, known as the valley of the flowers, and the Rhotang pass. Margaret was lucky enough to see and photograph the Himalayan Blue poppy, which she shared with the group.
The next meeting is on 14 February at 7.30pm, at the Baptist Church. The speaker will be Quentin Deakin, talking about ‘Themed Gardens’. Visitors and new members are welcome. Light refreshments will be served.
