THE latest community news from Waunfawr
Women’s Institute
ON the lovely evening of Monday, 2 May, members of the Waunfawr WI met in the community hall where president Jean Ecklund welcomed a friend of many years standing, Mair Jones of Llanilar.
Mair had come to talk about the pleasures of sewing, and she has been known as a skilled craft woman and cook for many years.
Mair also brought some very tasty cookery items which all members thoroughly enjoyed.
Recipes were available for all.
Plans were also made for the varied outdoor activities taking place later in the month, including a visit to Aberaeron which a goodly number of members enjoyed on the afternoon of Monday, 4 June.
The next meeting in the hall will be on Monday, 2 July, at 7pm when Becky Hulme of the Wildlife Trust South and West Wales will come to talk about the ‘Trusts Red Squirrel Project’.
