An Aberdyfi man will stand trial next month after denying assaulting a woman in Aberystwyth.

Oliver Hughes, of 5 Evans Terrace, appeared before Aberystwyth Magistrates’ Court on 8 January.

The 30-year-old pleaded not guilty to assaulting Gemma Redmond in Portland Road on 1 August.

Hughes is due to stand trial on the charge at Aberystwyth Magistrates’ Court on 20 February.

He was remanded on conditional bail until that hearing date.
