AN 81-year-old grandmother has denied causing the death of a well-known Aberystwyth man by dangerous driving.

Margaret Christopher,of Hoole Lane, Banks, Lancashire, pleaded not guilty to causing the death of Dai England by dangerous driving following a head-on crash on the A4159 at Lovesgrove on 19 March last year.

She also pleaded not guilty to causing serious injury to passenger Rhian England, his daughter, in the same crash.

A judge at Swansea Crown Court set a trial date for 31 May.Christopher was released on unconditional bail.
