A Llanbadarn Fawr woman found guilty of harassing a man has been fined.

Stacey Thompson, of 32 Brynrheidol, appeared for sentencing before Aberystwyth Magistrates’ Court on 26 August.

The 47-year-old had pleaded not guilty at a hearing in April to the harassment of Wesley Rigby between 21 July and 1 October last year in Aberystwyth.

Thompson was found guilty following a trial on 29 July which heard she harassed Mr Rigby by “messaging, calling, sending Whatsapp messages, sending money and contacting family members to try and make contact with him.”

Thompson was fined £120 and given a community order to include rehabilitation.

She was also made the subject of a restraining order and must pay £650 costs and a surcharge of £114.
