A Llanon man has been remanded in custody charged with making hundreds of indecent images and videos of children.

Dyfed Jones, of Roseland Cottage, Bridge Street, appeared before Llanelli Magistrates’ Court on 14 August.

The 35-year-old is charged with making 225 indecent photographs of children of the most serious category A in Llanon between 7 June 2021 and 2 April last year.

He is also charged with making a category C indecent image on 2 April 2025, and a category B image on 30 June and 21 August.

Jones is also charged with making two indecent videos of children in Llanon on 27 November 2024, one of category A and one of category B.

He is further charged with possession of a prohibited image of a child as well as possession of an extreme animal pornographic image.

Jones is next due to appear before Swansea Crown Court on 28 August.

He was remanded in custody until that date.
