A Pontrhydygroes man who pleaded guilty to stealing food and drinks from an Aberystwyth shop seven times within a month will be sentenced later this month.

Donovan Falconer Willock, of 12 New Row, appeared before Aberystwyth Magistrates’ Court on 30 September.

The 44-year-old admitted stealing from the Tesco Express store on North Parade in Aberystwyth seven times from 27 May to 24 June.

He admitted stealing items including caramel iced coffees, coconut water, sandwiches, orange juice, Volvic water, Innocent smoothies and Tenzing energy drinks.

Magistrates adjourned the case for a medical report to be prepared and Willock will be sentenced at Aberystwyth Magistrates’ Court on 21 October.

He was remanded on unconditional bail by magistrates until that date.
