A Pontrhydygroes man has been charged with stealing food and drinks from an Aberystwyth shop seven times within a month.

Donovan Falconer Willock, of 12 New Row, appeared before Aberystwyth Magistrates’ Court on 2 September.

The 44-year-old is charged with stealing from the Tesco Express store on North Parade in Aberystwyth seven times from 27 May to 24 June.

Willock is charged with stealing items including caramel iced coffees, coconut water, sandwiches, orange juice, Volvic water, Innocent smoothies and Tenzing energy drinks.

Magistrates adjourned the case and Willock is next due to appear before Aberystwyth Magistrates’ Court on 30 September to enter pleas to the charges.

He was remanded on unconditional bail by magistrates until that hearing date.
