A man who assaulted a police officer in Aberystwyth has been fined £1,250 by magistrates.

Martin Lewis, of 155 Alma Street, Abertillery, Blaenau Gwent, appeared before Aberystwyth Magistrates’ Court on 7 May.
The 44-year-old pleaded guilty to assaulting Pc Day on North Parade on 3 May.
Magistrates fined Lewis £1,250 and ordered him to pay £100 in compensation.
Lewis must also pay prosecution costs of £85.
