A 23-YEAR-OLD man kicked his ex partner’s car causing £234 damage to the vehicle, magistrates at Dolgellau heard.
The court heard that an argument developed on 5 November at Harlech between the couple over child care issues, following their split after being together for five years.
Thomas James Kelly, 23, now living at Weighmore Close, Spital, Wirral, pleaded guilty to criminal damage to a Vauxhall Zafira belonging to Kylie Marie Bridger.
The vehicle was parked on her drive at Pant yr Eithin, Harlech.
Diane Williams, prosecuting, said that after the argument over child care, Kelly was told that he could not take his daughter to school and, as a result, kicked the vehicle, causing £234 damage.
Hywel Davies, defending, said that his client regretted the incident and was ashamed of what he had done.
His client was willing to pay any compensation for the damage, he said.
Kelly was fined £80 for criminal damage, with £160 court costs and ordered to pay £234 compensation making a total of £474, to be paid within 28 days.
