An Aberystwyth man has admitted trying to escape police custody after being arrested on suspicion of supplying drugs.
Michael James Price, 48, of 25 South Road, attempted to break out of Aberystwyth Police Station on 16 May, but failed.
He appeared at Swansea Crown Court on Monday via a videolink from the city’s prison where he admitted all charges against him.
Price admitted supplying 406.133 grams of diamorphine in Aberystwyth between 12 July and 30 August last year.
He also pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply of almost a kilo of diamorphine on 14 May this year.
Price also admitted the additional charge of attempting to escape police custody on 16 May.
A second man also appeared with Price on the video link from the prison.
John James Rooney, 44, of Scarsdale Road, Liverpool, admitted a charge of supplying Price with the diamorphine on May 14 and possessing criminal proceeds in the form of £2325 cash.
Rooney also admitted driving a Volkswagen Passat while disqualified and without insurance on May 14 on the A495 near Llansantffraid-ym-Mechain, in Powys.
Judge Paul Thomas QC set 9 July as the date for sentencing.
Both men remain in custody.
