FOUR cycling enthusiasts took on a cycling challenge for British Heart Foundation Cymru.

Iestyn Davies and Rhys Hicks (pictured), Daniel Purnell and Ryan Heath cycled a total of 256 mile at the end of August, from Caerphilly to Fishguard and back - a total of 23 hours of cycling over two days.

Rhys lives in Aberystwyth and Iestyn is a student at Aberystwyth University. Daniel and Ryan are from the Caerphilly area.

Iestyn said: “This was a personal challenge for me as my father suffered a heart attack last year and tragically passed away. My father, Darren Davies was the headteacher at Llanidloes secondary school. I was determined to complete the challenge as it meant so much to me.”

Rhys said: “We have had so much support and have raised over £600.”
