THE CAUSE of death of an outdoor pursuits instructor whose skeletal remains were discovered by an angler while climbing across rocks, remains a mystery.
A 37-year-old man was identified from his clothing, build, teeth and fingerprints, North West Wales senior coroner Dewi Pritchard Jones said.
A Home Office pathologist Dr Brian Rodgers had been unable to find the cause of death.
The coroner said at Caernarfon they were unable to explain what the man had been doing. His remains were found between Borth y Gest and Morfa Bychan last June.
An open conclusion was recorded at the inquest. Mr Pritchard Jones said: ”To this day, despite all the inquiries carried out, I don’t know what happened.”
