I think it is time that the people of Ceredigion and in particular the residents of Aberaeron know, that if democracy in our county is not already dead it is most certainly in terminal decline.

“Gold Command” have taken control of Cyngor Sîr Ceredigion with no democratic input whatsoever. This small cabal of people eschew consultation with your elected representatives or the householders and businesses affected by their works. The first anyone knows of their intentions is when some new barriers or bollards appear with no explanation, other than Covid-19, forthcoming.

The area of Market Street is a total mess and the Pwllcam car park, apart from being an eyesore, is a disaster, with daily scenes of mayhem as the entrance and exit are both at the same end.If several cars enter, then find there is no space, they all have to try to reverse out.

Gold Command, who have taken unprecedented powers to themselves, use Covid-19 as the excuse for not carrying out some works, such as collecting our garden waste, and give it as the reason for the often extreme measures that they foist on Aberaeron and the other coastal resorts.
