Madam,
I would like to express my disapproval of the amount of people who, despite health and safety regulations, take their dogs into supermarkets and food establishments like cafés in Aberystwyth.
Twice now I have encountered people, not only taking their dogs into cafés, but feeding them at the tables or on the seats of the tables.
And on many occasions I’ve seen people carrying their dogs in their arms or shopping trolleys in a supermarket. Whether or not the dogs are small or large makes no difference. They are still dogs.
I am a dog-lover myself, but I would never dream of taking a dog into a food establishment. Only guide dogs should be allowed.
It would be interesting to hear what the public health department thinks of this.
People should be a lot more thoughtful. Dogs have their places but it is not in our cafés and shops.
Yours etc,
