LOCAL politicians spent the festive period spreading good cheer in Dolgellau.

MP Liz Saville Roberts and Gwynedd councillor Linda Morgan visited hospital beds and care homes around Dolgellau to wish all the patients and residents a happy Christmas.

The pair met with people in Dolgellau Hospital and Cefn Rodyn at the end of December.

They also handed out Christmas cards, chocolates and fruit.

Cllr Morgan also paid a solo visit to the Abbeyfield Ty Meurig sheltered housing in the Meirionnydd town.

Mrs Roberts was thrilled to meet with her constituents.

“It was a real pleasure to visit Dolgellau Hospital and Cefn Rodyn Residential Home with local Cllr Linda Morgan in order to wish all of the patients, residents and staff a merry Christmas,” she told the Cambrian News.

“I’d like to thank all the nursing staff for the excellent standard of care provided and for going the extra mile to ensure that those spending the festive period away from home received a comfortable Christmas.”
