All Ceredigion schools will close from the end of the school day tomorrow (Friday), the council has confirmed.
This comes after Welsh Government announced that all schools will close due to the current ongoing coronavirus crisis.
Ceredigion County Council says it is making arrangements for parents who work in the emergency services, care homes or domiciliary care to register their childcare needs.
Free childcare will be made available for these groups of parents at various locations throughout the county. More information regarding how you can register for your childcare needs will follow, the council said.
In line with the education minister’s statement yesterday, GCSEs and A-levels will not be held in the summer.
The council is awaiting further instructions from Qualifications Wales on the precise way in which grades will be awarded to pupils this year, and schools will be in contact with parents with more information in due course.
