Ben Lake MP visited a group of Welsh-language learners at Canolfan Edward Richard, Ystrad Meurig.

The local Ystrad Meurig group of Welsh-language learners were joined by the Devil’s Bridge Welsh learners class and the Tregaron Discussion Group for a presentation by Mr Lake.

During his presentation, Mr Lake talked about his work as MP for Ceredigion, shared the traditions and customs of Westminster and shined a light on the current political climate.

Following his presentation, he hosted an informal question and answer session with the members of the group.

“Meeting the Welsh learners was a truly humbling experience. I have great admiration for their commitment and dedication to learning the Welsh language.

“When learning any language, it’s vital to have the opportunity to practice the language in an informal setting outside the classroom, and it was my pleasure to be able to spend time with the group and talk about local issues and their aspirations for the future.”
