PUPILS from across Ceredigion and Montgomeryshire were celebrating on Thursday after picking up their A-level results.

Across Ceredigion as a whole, more than a quarter of grades were either A* or A with 77 per cent of entries receiving A* to C grades and an overall pass rate of 98 per cent.

And across Powys, just over a fifth of all results were either A* or A grades, with almost half being A* to B grades and just over three-quarters grades of A* to C.
