Gwynedd Council has congratulated pupils on their A-Level and AS results.
Councillor Cemlyn Rees Williams, Cabinet member for education said: “We should be proud of the success of our young people here in Gwynedd.
"The students are to be congratulated for their dedication and perseverance and I offer my gratitude to the teachers for their hard work during this challenging period.
“As we know, the last 18 months has been hugely challenging and unprecedented, and we appreciate the efforts of all pupils, the support of families and Gwynedd school staff for their tireless work.
“I wish them the best of luck as they go on to the world of work, training or higher education.”
Garem Jackson, Head of Education for Gwynedd Council, added:
“Once again this year, it’s a pleasure to state how pleased I am with the success of Gwynedd’s young people.
“I would like to thank the schools and the teachers most sincerely for their hard work to ensure the continuation and quality of education during this period, to the students for their exceptional efforts in such a difficult time and to their families for their constant support. The Covid period has been a real challenge for us all and the success of our young people is testament to their resilience and dedication.
“I wish them the very best for the future.”
