Vintage photographs charting the history of Beulah, near Newcastle Emlyn, over the last 150 years will go on display next month to raise funds for the 2020 National Eisteddfod in Tregaron.
Beulah – All Our Yesterdays will be available to view at Beulah Vestry/Hall from Thursday, 11 July, when it will be officially opened by Menna Jones, formerly of the village’s post office.
Close on 400 photographs will be on display, all collected from local people by historian and author Gerwyn Morgan over the past 10 years.
Many were published in his 2017 book, Beulah – The Story Of A Ceredigion Village And Its People, of which all copies have now been sold.
The photographs have been arranged under five headings: village life and work; the chapel; people and families; Beulah primary and nursery schools; and the village social scene.
It will be open until Sunday, 14 July. Opening hours will be 10am until late, except for Sunday when it will open at 2pm. Tea and coffee will be available.
Entry is £2 and all proceeds will go towards the 2020 National Eisteddfod.
