FEARS have been expressed over the future of a proposed food festival in Pwllheli unless enough volunteers can be found.
Gwyl Fwyd Pwllheli is due to take place next summer and is hosted to boost community spirit locally and attract additional visitors to the town.
A committee has been formed to organise the enticing prospect but at least one key position, namely treasurer, has yet to be filled.
If a suitable volunteer is not found, organisers fear the event may not take place.
Pwllheli councillor Dylan Bullard, one of the committee members, explained: “A group of us in Pwllheli have decided to organise a food festival for June 2019.
“The festival will be called Gwyl Fwyd Pwllheli and will benefit the local economy and allow the residents of Pwllheli and Llyn a chance to sample locally produced food and drinks and a chance to showcase local talent.
“However, we are desperate for a treasurer to help, possibly someone with experience in finance.
“If interested, please contact me by calling 07824 738789.”
