Four men from Llanidloes will walk 100km to mark the end of the First World War.

Paul Jones, Paul Avery, John Dunkley and Carl Pugh have decided to take on the ABF 100km challenge, which will see them walk the 62 miles in one go, visiting cenotaphs along the way.

ABF (formerly the Army Benevolent Fund) is The Soldiers’ Charity, and the four men hope their efforts will raise lots of money.

They will set off from Chirk on 19 October and arrive in Llanidloes the following day.

Donations, including your name and telephone number, can be sent to Woosnam & Davies News, c/o Paul Jones, 40/41 Longbridge Street, Llanidloes.
