A fundraising Machynlleth motorcyclist has started his latest around-the-world trip after receiving his MBE.

Nick Sanders, who is undertaking his eighth around-the-world journey to raise money for a charity that helps provide bikes for health workers in Africa, set off from Machynlleth on Monday, 4 November, with his first stop being Buckingham Palace.

Nick was awarded the MBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List and received the honour before he began his latest journey which will see him head to Borneo and Australia among other countries.
