A CEREDIGION charity has thanked local residents and businesses for their continued support which has allowed it to continue offering its summer holiday scheme for disabled children.
Aberaeron-based DASH, which will celebrate its 40th anniversary next year after being founded in 1978, offers help, support, and activities to the county’s disabled children and their families.
Jo Kennaugh, DASH manager said: “We would like to thank everyone who has supported DASH over the years.
“The charity has been fortunate enough to benefit from generous donations from a wide range of organisations and we need this to continue.
“The long list of supporters includes businesses, individual giving, as well as a wide range of organisations such as church congregations, language groups, Aberystwyth Rotary Club and more.
“We are also grateful to national funding bodies such as BBC Children in Need, The National Lottery and Three Guineas Trust who have provided significant financial support.
“DASH has a close relationship with Ceredigion County Council and continues to be commissioned to carry out key activities.
“It is this broad base of funding that strengthens DASH and helps it overcome the growing financial challenges facing small local charities.”
Earlier this year DASH was honoured to receive recognition from the High Sheriff of Dyfed for its “professional service, care and support offered to the community”.
