MORE than £7,000 was raised for charity at a packed sponsored hair and beard shave event at a Llandinam pub.
Anthony Bates and Michael ‘Bomber’ Thomas were shorn by local hairdresser and beauty queen Beverley Roberts at The Lion Inn to raise money for the Brain Tumour Society.
The pub also hosted a raffle, an auction and a performance by the Brecon band The Universal Translators to get the best amount possible for the charity.
The event, which raised £7,200, was dedicated to the late Charlie Lloyd and Veronica Bates.
