THE Save Bodlondeb group is continuing to work on plans for a protest march in Aberystwyth calling for the closure of the home to be abandoned.

The campaign group, set up in response to Ceredigion County Council’s proposal to close the residential care home, is keen to show the strength of feeling of local residents who want to see the home stay open.

Members of the group’s steering group have backed a suggestion of a protest march through Aberystwyth and are currently working on plans to organise an event in September.

While no date has yet been confirmed, the suggestion is that the march would be held at a time close to the end of the consultation into the home’s future. That consultation is due to close at the end of September.

The group has said it will announce a date when details have been finalised.
