Ceredigion has recorded two new cases of coronavirus today, according to official figures.

A total of 30 cases have been recorded across Wales today with one new death, taking the total to 5,557 since the pandemic began.

Ceredigion has recorded two new cases today as has Carmarthenshire.

Pembrokeshire and Gwynedd have both recorded no new cases today while Powys has recorded one.

Despite the new cases, Ceredigion has still recorded the lowest amount of cases for a county in Wales with 1,782 positive Covid-19 cases since the pandemic began last March.

Neighbouring Carmarthenshire has over the same time recorded 10,793 cases with the total in Gwynedd standing at 3,411.

Powys has recorded a total of 4,194 cases with Pembrokeshire identifying 3,480 cases in total.

The vaccination rollout continues with over-30s now receiving their first jabs.

So far, 1,948,683 people have received the first dose of the vaccine across Wales with 854,441 having received both jabs.

A total of 320,472 vaccines have been administered by Hywel Dda Health Board with Betsi Cadwaladr administering 597,101.

Powys Teaching Health Board has administered 134,777 doses of the vaccine.

Wales, along with the other nations of the UK, moved to Alert Level 3 on Monday and the newly formed Welsh Government is expected to meet later this week to discuss the next steps as the country moves out of lockdown.
