A free event to help carers stay ‘healthy and connected’ has taken place at the Llanina Arms.

Hosted by Ceredigion County Council’s Carers Unit and partner organisations, the event to mark Carers’ Week involved a number of activities and talks.

Carers were also given the opportunity to receive therapies such as hand and shoulder massages.

Cllr Catherine Hughes, Member’s Champion for Carers, said: “I am fully aware of the commitment of Carers and fully appreciate their dedication and hard work in their caring role. There are thousands of Carers in our county of all ages and I hope that these unsung heroes benefit from the help and information offered by the Council’s Carers Unit, Social Services, Hywel Dda University Health Board and charitable organisations.”
