Work is nearing completion on three field hospitals in Ceredigion that will offer 149 new beds to deal with the coronavirus crisis.
Pictures released today show how Cardigan Leisure Centre has been transformed into a hospital to house patients with Covid-19 if demand exceeds that of local hospitals.
Beds are expected to be installed at the Cardigan site next week, with the hope that the site will be operational by the end of the month.
The same timeframe is true for the two other field hospitals in Ceredigion, at Plascrug Leisure Centre and Ysgol Gyfun Penweddig in Aberystwyth, both of which are currently undergoing a similar transformation.
There will be a total of 149 new beds across Ceredigion: 48 at Cardigan Leisure Centre, 57 at Ysgol Penweddig and 44 at Plascrug Leisure Centre.
