A DWYFOR charity which uses horses to help disadvantaged children overcome social hurdles has been showing off the good work they do.
Dwyfor Meirionnydd MP Liz Saville Roberts praised the transformational work being carried out by a Morfa Bychan based organisation helping hard to reach young people overcome social challenges with the help of horses.
During a visit to WITH (the Welsh Institute of Therapeutic Horsemanship) at Pen y Trip farm, Mrs Saville Roberts, who is herself a keen horse rider, was given a tour of the facilities and spent time talking to the young people.
Founded in 2011, WITH began life as a six-month pilot project funded by the National lottery.
It is now a fast-growing organisation helping disadvantaged young people and adults from across North Wales to develop confidence, communication skills and self-esteem.
Following her visit Mrs Saville Roberts said: “I was struck by (directors) Iain and Lindsey’s passion and sincerity for the welfare and personal development of the children involved in the scheme, which provides parents, local agencies and other voluntary bodies with an experiential route to help disadvantaged individuals overcome social barriers.
“I was deeply impressed with the work programme being offered at the farm; delivering therapeutic activities to some of the most vulnerable people across our area."
