THE TYWYN Redevelopment Hospital project is in the ‘final stages of commissioning’ and will be open ‘as soon as possible’.

The medical facility — which was originally meant to have been completed in November — has faced a series of setbacks, predominantly due to the weather Meirionnydd suffered over the winter season.

However, Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board has assured potential patients they will not have too much longer to wait. A spokesperson said: “We are in the final stages of commissioning and, although we aren’t able to set a firm date right now, we are hoping to hand over the building as soon as possible.”

Once the building has been transferred, medical services will be able to set up in the £5m complex.
