OVER 750 cases of coronavirus have been recorded in Wales today, official figures have revealed.

13 of those cases have been recorded in Ceredigion, taking the number in the county over the last seven days to 31.

These latest cases take Ceredigion’s seven-day infection rate to 42.6 cases per 100,000 population.

Gwynedd has recorded seven new cases, taking its weekly total to 95, with an infection rate of 76.3 cases per 100,000 population over the past seven days.

Carmarthenshire has recorded 22 new cases today, taking its seven day total to 107 and giving the county a rate of 56.7 cases per 100,000 people.

Powys has recorded eight new cases, taking the total to 35 for the week with an infection rate of 26.4.

Pembrokeshire has recorded seven, meaning its seven-day total is 28 and an infection rate of 26.4 per 100,000.

Cardiff has reported the biggest jump in cases today, with 108 confirmed cases of Covid-19 in the past 24 hours.

In total, 752 positive cases of coronavirus have been recorded in Wales over the past day.

Three new deaths have been recorded in Wales today, taking the total to 1,643.
