The Welsh Blood Service is appealing for donations as it prepares to hold donation days across West Wales this month.

The Welsh Government has deemed travelling to donate blood as essential travel, but people wishing to do so have to book an appointment first with walk-in donations not possible under Covid-19 restrictions.

Donation days are being held in Borth from Monday, 19 October to Wednesday, 21 October in the community hall.

The Welsh Blood Service will then move on to Ysgol Bro Teifi in Llandysul on Tuesday, 27 October and Wednesday, 28 October.

The final donation days will be held at University of Wales Trinity Saint David in Lampeter on Thursday and Friday, 29 and 30 October.

A spokesperson for the Welsh Blood Service said: “If you are fit and well please click on the link below to book a convenient day and time.

“Please support your local session in these unprecedented times to continue vital supply of platelets and blood products.”
