Madam,

The letter in the 13 September editions of the Cambrian News by Pwllheli’s Alan Wilson (‘Why was planning granted for enclave for rich?’) about the development of posh housing for well-heeled high-rollers in an Area of Outstanding Beauty was almost unbelievable.Readers felt like it was ‘fake news’.

An AONB is a precious and treasured asset to be conserved. It should not suffer the heavy impact of intrusive alien features.

Housing is an inappropriate development in an area adjacent to Tre’r Ceiri.

Are bodies like the National Trust, Cadw, Natural Resources Wales and Gwynedd Council powerless in their stewardship of such a sensitive site?

Yours etc,

E Roberts, South Beach, Pwllheli.
