Madam,
On 26 October, my wife and I were visiting our daughter, son-in-law and grandson in Rhydyfelin when I had the misfortune of taking a nasty fall. Falling backwards hitting my head and back, I was concussed and taken to A&E at Aberystwyth hospital.
Several ECGs were done, as was an X-ray of the spine and a scan of the head. I received first-class treatment from a very dedicated and professional nursing staff and doctors. In fact, nothing seemed too much trouble; moreover, there was very little delay in being seen and attended to, nothing like the experiences of others we read of in other hospitals and places.
Being a governor of my local hospital, the Dorset County Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, I say well done Aberystwyth, and thank you for your kindness and understanding care.
Yours etc,
David R Tett, Bridport, Dorset.
