Gwynedd Council will write to local councils to make sure they’re aware of the latest regulations regarding Remembrance Day.

Due to coronavirus, this year’s Remembrance Sunday will inevitably be a little different.

The Welsh Government has published regulations which state that Acts of Remembrance held outdoors at War Memorials or Cenotaphs will be permitted to take place on 7 or 8 November.

The regulations also state that indoor services and parades will not be permitted.

Up to a maximum of 30 individuals, including event organisers, will be permitted to gather outdoors and can take part in an Act of Remembrance.

Those who organise an event will have a duty of care to those attending to make it as safe as possible and uphold guidance around physical distancing and hygiene.

“The council’s Public Protection team is writing to community, town and city councils throughout Gwynedd, to ensure that they are aware of the latest Welsh Government regulations,” a Gwynedd Council spokesperson said.
