A LLANIDLOES woman has already raised over £900 as part of her fundraising for her London Marathon run next year in aid of MacMillan Cancer Support.

Jan Powell hopes to raise as much cash for the charity as possible after being offered a place in the annual event next April, and raised £927 with a cake stall at the town’s Co-operative store on 26 November and a raffle with prizes donated by local businesses.

She also held a one-mile, fancy-dress route around Llanidloes High School on Saturday.

The Rudolph’s Shimmy Stroll Sprint was sponsored by Hafren Motors, with the morning also seeing stalls with mince pies and mulled wine.

Jan is also planning a Zumbathon in Rhayader in the new year.
