TWO kittens who were found dumped in a tied-up plastic bag in Porthmadog have found their forever homes.

The black-and-white duo were just weeks old when they were discovered after their cries were heard on Sunday, 26 June at 9.30am near the Harbour Masters Office in Porthmadog.

They were found in the plastic bag in a bin.

Luckily they were in good health and were taken into RSPCA care. An appeal for information was launched to find out how and why they were dumped in this way.

RSPCA inspector Mark Roberts said: “It is just so sad that they were just callously dumped. They must have been so frightened.

“But in our care the kittens did really well and it’s lovely to hear they have a new home.”

The kittens were rehomed from RSPCA’s Bryn-y- Maen Animal Centre in Upper Colwyn Bay.

Kennel and cattery supervisor Chris Butler said: “They are beautiful kittens, are very friendly and have lots of energy!

“We are delighted that they have gone to their forever home and have also been rehomed with another kitten we had in our care.

“We also have many more cats in our cattery who all deserve loving homes, so please pop in for a visit and say hello to the animals currently in our care.”

Their new owner Debbie Parry from Llandudno has named the kittens, Lexy and Mercedes. The third kitten has also been named Max.

Debbie said: “They are adorable. I had been going back to the centre a couple of times to see them and then I picked them up on Sunday.

“The three of them completely settled in so quickly and felt at home. Considering their background I could not get over it.

“They were playing and investigating. They are so cute and loving.”
