ABERYSTWYTH’S National Library of Wales was lit up over the weekend of 7 and 8 May to mark the launch of Wales’s official Ovarian Cancer Awareness Year.
The library was chosen as one of two buildings in Wales to turn teal, along with City Hall in Cardiff, to mark the start of the event, which was launched to coincide with World Ovarian Cancer Day on Sunday, 8 May, aimed at raising awareness of ovarian cancer with organisers Ursula Martin, who is from Llanidloes, and Annie Mulholland, of Cardiff, hoping to increase the number of women who know the symptoms of ovarian cancer.
