Madam,

I write to say how shocked I was to read about the devastating fire at Rhiw Goch Inn, Trawsfynydd.

About 10 years ago I visited with a distant cousin. We were shown the old, historic area upstairs - which made the visit so memorable. My ancestors in Cwm Prysor and Trawsfynydd back in the 1700s would have known of it too.

Losing such a gem of history is tragic.
