Flood Alert help

ALTHOUGH many are aware of it by now, it is worth telling those that aren’t just how handy the Dyfi Bridge Flood Alert page on Facebook is, especially given the recent run of bad weather and consequent closures of Dyfi Bridge.Environmental organisations do post updates online, but with the best will in the world these can only be retrospective. The DBFA page is for road users, by road users and is updated by mobile phone, tablet or PC more or less as it happens. Questions such as ‘is the bridge open?’ will usually be answered in minutes by those who have seen the situation or tried to cross. A very convenient example of people helping themselves and each other.
