Hollywood star Amanda Seyfried has been spotted around Aberystwyth this afternoon.

The Mamma Mia and Mean Girls star is in Wales to film You Should Have Left alongside Kevin Bacon, which is an adaptation of the tense German thriller by Daniel Kehlmann.

Throughout this week, the actress has been posting images from across Wales on her Instagram page, including her taking in the sights of Harlech Castle.

On Wednesday afternoon, she posted two images of Tanybwlch Beach with the hashtag #sowelsh

Eagle-eyed fans were quick to recognise Tanybwlch’s distinctive stone beach and cliffs in the background.

Earlier this week, Amanda posted a series of photos from in and around Harlech, including the castle, with the hashtags #PRETTYWELSH and #ridiculouslywelsh.

Speaking on the red carpet at the Raindance Film Festival in London last month, Amanda said of the film: “It’s really scary, it’s a psychological thriller for sure but it also deals with a marriage that isn’t quite right.

"Then they go to this house in Wales and you’re not sure which way is up.

“I read the script and it’s a slam dunk. We’re going to Wales this week and I’m really excited.”
