A LLANIDLOES man who left another man unconscious on the floor and with a fractured skull will be sentenced at Mold Crown Court.
Benjamin Stephens, of Ponthafren, Eastgate Street, punched Ceri Williams once to the head in the early hours of 30 May in Llanidloes after an earlier row had seen Mr Williams punched by Gabrielle Elias, 19.
Stephens, who admitted a charge of causing grievous bodily harm, hit Mr Williams once knocking him unconscious and causing a bleed on the brain and a skull fracture.
The court heard that Elias, of 16 Brynawelon in Llandrindod Wells, had been with Stephens, 25, when they got involved in an argument with Mr Williams.
Elias punched Mr Williams. Then, after initially leaving, Stephens returned and punched Mr Williams to the head causing the injuries.
While magistrates said they wanted Stephens to be sentenced at the crown court, Elias, who pleaded guilty to assault, was given an eight-week prison sentence suspended for a year.
She was also ordered to carry out 80 hours of unpaid work and 20 days of rehabilitation activity requirement.
Elias was also ordered to pay costs totalling £200.
Stephens was given conditional bail until the sentencing hearing at Mold Crown Court on 17 November.
