A PENGLAIS School pupil has said she is “over the moon” after winning the national finals of a beauty pageant.
Megan Williams, who is 15 and has just finished her GCSEs, has been crowned Miss Teen Enchanted Rose 2016 after winning both the Ceredigion preliminaries and the national finals which took place in Cardiff last week.
Megan, who enjoys PE and engineering at school and would like to be a farrier when she’s older, also won the crown for most money raised for her chosen charity, BulliesOut.
“I managed to raise £142 for BulliesOut,” Megan, from Borth, told the Cambrian News this week. “The experience was great. I had to be in Cardiff for 10am for rehearsals throughout the day and the show started at 6pm, where I competed in fashion round, swimwear round and also evening wear round.
“I gained very high marks off all four judges and met some lovely people. I am now Miss Teen Enchanted Rose 2016.
“I also won the side award Miss Charity in my category, and then went on to win overall Miss Teen Enchanted Rose Charity Supreme, where I gained another crown."
