Local communities are enjoying the benefits of a £35,000 investment in play equipment by Llanengan Community Council.
Since the bike track at Mynytho has been installed, children from the village and the surrounding areas have been enjoying it, and Mynytho school, which is situated next to the playing field, has been using the new track most weeks.
Once a week during the spring and summer months, pupils there have access to an after-school bike club every Monday.
Activities either take place at Glasfryn, Y Ffor or at the school with headteacher Kelly Jones and parent Rosie Decker both having trained as biking instructors.
The school was also successful in an application to purchase eight new bikes to be kept there, which means nobody has to miss out on the biking sessions.
At Abersoch, the Nexus Core apparatus has been described as a fantastic piece of playing kit which has been installed by the community council.
There are plenty of healthy activities for the children of Abersoch, Mynytho and the Llyn Peninsula to enjoy at the playing fields at Abersoch and Mynytho thanks to a very generous investment by the Llanengan Community Council.
