A RHYDYCLAFDY nursery has raised an impressive £2,000 for a local charity.
Blagur Nursery has raised the funds towards Gafael Llaw, a charity that supports children and young people from Gwynedd and Anglesey who have cancer.
The funds were raised through a sponsored walk and a charity evening at the Vaynol Pub in Abersoch last year.
Nursery owner Dyddgu Mair Williams said: “Gafael Llaw is a very special charity to us at the nursery.
"We wanted to do something that would raise money for the charity, so we decided to arrange a sponsored walk and a charity evening at the end of the walk at Abersoch.
“The support we had from local businesses was fantastic and I’m grateful to all who contributed. I’d like to thank the Vaynol in Abersoch especially who were brilliant helping us."
Iwan Trefor Jones, chair of Gafael Llaw, added: “We are very grateful to Blagur nursery and to Dyddgu for their significant contribution. It’s great to see a Dwyfor business supporting the charity."
