Why do people and councillors always put tourists down and always look on the dark side?

Gwynedd is a tourist destination, and people can’t stay at home forever, they have had months locked down. Local restaurants and shops are desperately trying to make a living in the few months left to do so.

Also with a pending recession, tourists do contribute to the local economy. Towns can be overwhelmed by all the tourists flocking in, but this is only for the short season left.

Tourists don’t threaten to spread the virus any more than anybody else, they know the risks and they, like all of us, have a need to enjoy life.
